Morris Grade School District No. 54 board unanimously approved closing Stine School south of the Illinois River next school year. The 48 first graders are to be absorbed by Center and Garfield schools. Stott Charged With Selling Stolen Engine to City Police
Part time deputy Roland Stott and owner of Stott's Body Shop was arrested and charged with two anti theft offenses for selling to Morris Police a used engine with its identification number removed. Witnesses testified the engine, stolen from Chicago, was sold for 300 dollars and later identified as a hot engine. An April grand jury was ordered with 100 jurors to report.
