Accidents kill two men on U S 52 and I 80
Two men died in separate Friday traffic crashes. Harold R. Waller, 45, of Minooka, ran off U S 52 near Ridge Road at about 60 to 70 mph, struck a bridge abutment, and died of head injuries after hospitalization. Douglas K. Miller, 28, of Ogelsby, went off I 80 near Brisbin Road, skidded 225 feet, hit a bridge pier, rolled, and died at Morris Hospital. Miller was an Illinois Bell lineman on temporary assignment to Romeoville. Funeral plans were set for Waller at Sonntag-Wylie Funeral Home. Miller’s service at Shields Funeral Home, Oglesby.
