Pfc Donald Cantu left for Fort Devens after a 15 day leave with his parents. Pvt Bill Wills is home on a 14 day leave and will report to Fort Leonard Wood. Miss Marsha Waters is taking a summer course at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and visited her parents. Mr and Mrs Mike Hines returned from a Wisconsin vacation. Mr and Mrs John Baudino visited Akron Ohio with their daughter and family. Mrs Martin Guiney is a patient at St Joseph Hospital Joliet. George L Steinberger and son Dan visited the Hineses at their Kankakee River cottage. Mr and Mrs James Drnee and daughter Lisa, of St. Louis, visited their parents. Miss Karen Drnee spent time with her parents before returning to the University of Illinois. Mrs Robert Egan and children and Miss Joellyn Lohmar of Joliet were guests in the Davito home.
