Plattville Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Bruce Banaszak a 33 year old from Plattville faced arraignment in Kendall County Circuit Court on three counts of attempted murder and one count of reckless conduct in the shooting of attorney Max G. Peterson 37 of Yorkville. Peterson was in satisfactory condition at St Joseph Hospital Joliet. Banaszak a telephone company mechanic was jailed on 10 bail after deputies arrested him Saturday following the Friday filing of charges. He is married with two children.

Three Hurt in County Car Crash on Carbon Hill Road
Three youths were hospitalized after a one car crash on Carbon Hill Road near Carbon Hill. Driver Mark Jacobson, 16, and passenger Joseph Daniels, 15, both of Joliet, were in good condition at St. Joseph Hospital Joliet. Michael Alberico, 15, of Channahon, was treated and released. Sheriff Marketti said Jacobson lost control at about 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, hitting the guard rail on a bridge over the Claypool Drainage Ditch. The Rambler, 1967 model, was demolished and towed. All three were transported by Coal City Emergency Squad to St. Joseph.
