The Grundy County Board of Review, chaired by Milton Carlson, remains in session 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays until August 7 and through September 7 for unresolved assessment complaints. Members are Lawrence Manning and Ed Burnham with Carlson as clerk. The board reviews uniformity of assessments, exemptions, and property values, with forms 204a and 204b for real and personal property complaints.

Two Injured In Interstate 55 One Car Crash
A mother Karen Hard 23 and her 18 month old daughter Elizabeth were injured in a one car accident on Interstate 55 half a mile south of Illinois 113 at 6 am. Hard's vehicle left the northbound lane after she fell asleep and was towed to Fox's Standard. The infant was treated at St. Joseph Hospital Joliet and released. A second incident on Interstate 80 near Seneca involved two semi trucks colliding at 1:15 am injuring a driver Adolph Kotalik 52 and ticketing David Day 43 for speeding. Damage to Day's five axle Ford semi about $2,000 and Kotalik's five axle International semi about $1,000.

Grundy planners hear plats and rezoning in Vienna area
