Tax mandamus suit filed against Grundy County officials
H Dale Barr superintendent of Morris Grade School District 54 filed a mandamus writ in Grundy County Circuit Court against Tom Parks county clerk and Pauline Coleman county treasurer. He accuses Parks of failing to estimate and determine the tax rate and full cash value of property and Coleman of failing to collect 1972 taxes due in 1973. Barr says county taxing bodies lack funds to operate and seeks court orders to fix the rate or direct reassessment and to require tax collection once books are turned over plus related relief.
