Edith Smith Harrison aged 91 of 129 E Chapin Sr Morris died Tuesday evening in Morris Hospital where she had been a patient since June 23. Born in 1874 in Kankakee County she later practiced law in Morris and served in WWI as a YMCA canteen worker. Survived by daughter Ruth Huse and extended family. Danville motorcyclist Roy Whittington, 24, died Tuesday after his bike collided with a car near Oakwood ten miles west of Danville. Police reported the fatal crash in the Oakwood area.
