An Aug 4 continuance was requested by Morris attorney S J Holderman in the Mitchler case. State Sen. Robert W Mitchler, 50, of Roswego, was charged with failure to reduce speed after a June 3 crash on Illinois 47 north of Grundy County. Mayor John Hendrickson reported June attendance at Morris Swimming Pool reached 13 678, the highest since 1956 when 19 337 visited. Rates for private parties are 15 dollars per hour for up to 30 people plus 1 dollar per extra person, limited to Morris residents, with a lifeguard and pool manager on duty and approvals required three days ahead.
