Grundy County acts on appraisal bids and bonds sale
The Grundy County Board passed a resolution to accept an $18,000 bid by United Appraisal of Kansas to re assess values on 20 industries and 400 homes. It approved selling $815,000 in bonds Feb. 13 for the Grundy County Home addition, with bids open to banks and bond buyers. In other actions, a primary plat for Home Acres Subdivision in Saratoga Township was approved, six three acre lots. Expenditures for the Grundy County Health Board were read, and a Citizens Advisory Committee on planning was noted. In Pontiac Illinois two brothers were killed in a collision on U S 66, James Myers 37 and Wayne Myers 20, with truck driver Donald Brown seriously injured.
