Police say five youths vandalized a Vietnamese refugee family home on Wednesday night. Juvenile petitions are expected against four boys ages 15 and 16, with a possible adult filing for a fifth youth believed to be 18. A dispute after a game sparked the incident at Morris Recreation Hall. The group followed Nguyen Van Vinh to his home at 303 East Jackson Street and damaged windows with bricks and a log.

Chain reaction crash on snow slicked I 55 Illinois 129
Snow and ice caused a multi vehicle crash on I 55 and Illinois 129 at about 8 05 am. Doris Brazik 35 sustained minor injuries in the wreck involving a state police squad car driven by Robert Stevenson 36 and two semis driven by Merle Stephenson 50 and Ronald Cumbow 35.
