Youth injured in Newark crash on Lisbon Road
A Newark youth was hospitalized at Morris Hospital after a head on collision on Lisbon Road near I 80. 16 year old Jack McDowell was a passenger in a car driven by 21 year old John McDowell. Costa Rica exchange student Francisco Marian and the elder McDowell were treated and released. An unidentified northbound car left the scene after causing the crash. A second incident on U S 6 involved a one half ton truck and an Illinois Department of Public Works truck with no tickets issued.
