Missouri Truck Driver Dies After Rear End Crash on I-55
Vincent E. Womack 43 of Florissant Missouri died when his semi burned after a northbound collision on Interstate 55 near Gardner. The other driver Junior Brown 36 of East Alton and passenger Gayle Jackson 27 of St. Charles Missouri were hospitalized in fair and good condition, respectively. Fire crews extinguished a four hour blaze. Womack pinned in the wreckage. The incident marked Grundy County’s 15th traffic fatality of the year. Funeral arrangements for Womack are pending.
