Gerald L. Stewart of Sugar Grove was hired July 3 by the Lisbon school board to replace Thomas Meade as superintendent of Lisbon Consolidated Grade School. The Bloomington native holds a 1965 BA in education, 1968 MS in education and administration from Northern Illinois University, and a 1973 CAS. He has 13 years in education with posts at Sheridan Boys School Barrington Wheaton Warrenville Creston and West Aurora elementary schools. He will commute from Sugar Grove. his wife teaches at West Aurora.

Crash kills three near Yorkville in Kendall County
