Gasolins From Natural Gas
Gasolins from natural gas have long been extracted as a volatile mixture of butane and propane. Refiners found natural gasoline too rich to mix with cracked fuel, so removal became necessary. Since 1927 the process has used steel bottling, tank cars, and pipe lines to separate butane and propane from the gas.
