Eph Wilson's spent Sunday at Zell Wilson's. Harold Davis and family were Sunday visitors at the C. G. Davis home. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Morrison and daughter Dorothy were visiting at the Morrison home near Unionville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cloved were at Tipton on Monday on business.
Herman Johnson and family spent Sunday at Ernie Easter's home. Paul Stafford returned to Moravia from visiting grandparents. Mrs. C. N. Anderson left Chariton for home. Maurice Lillard and family were in Albia. Clarence Wilson and family visited the Kent home in Avery. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Bivin and son plus Dorothy Boardman visited the M. E. Boardman home. Severny attended the Fall Festival in Moravia. Howard and Edward Robinson were in Albia. Eva Boardman and friends were in Chariton. Zelma Johnson spent the weekend at home while Maurice Lillard filled his shift.

West Point Will Davis and Harold Mason visited the World's Fair last week. Rollie Brown and Ruff Easter attended the fox hunt in Albin Wednesday. Moravia Fall Festival drew many locals Saturday. Funeral for Lee Murphy Monday drew family and friends including Garnett Brown and Pearl Kelsey. Jamble Stores advertises a battery operated Coronado Radio Console with low drain tubes priced at 39.50.
Gaylord McDanes and family visited Sunday at the parental M. E. B. McDane home. Rex Tisue stayed Monday night with Ralph Davis. G. E. Luse attended the Easter reunion. Gib Herman and daughter from Ottumwa spent Saturday night with Dick Morrison. Dutch DuVall had Thursday dinner with Eph Wilson. Russell Davis and daughters Marion and Janet Louise from Carlisle spent the weekend with O. G. Dayisne. U. S. Mangle joined Sunday at the Jeff Patrick home. F. W. Wright, Mrs Eph Wilson and Mrs Emma Robinson attended Mrs Mary Reading’s funeral at Blakesburg. James Creech family spent Sunday with the Glasgow family in Pendell. Gus Luse and Gerald had Saturday dinner with Mrs Vanu.
Omega son Jewell Ward and wife in Cedar Rapids this week. Mr and Mrs Elmer Henderson spent Sunday at Tom Drake home. Many attended Moravia festival last week and praised the exhibit. Milo Selby family visited at parental McCumber home. Gomer Stocker and sons were Blakeeburg visitors Monday evening. Bars Coltrain and Lucile called at Stocker home Sunday afternoon. 0 8 Miller visited Stocker Monday afternoon. Mrs Lawrence Wand visiting in the area.
A crowded week of visits and small gatherings includes Roy Purvis and family at the Purvis home and at various neighbor homes. Nelson Haver returned home but is not improving as hoped, and condolences are offered for Lee Murphy who died by his own hand at Jamesport Missouri.
A string of Sunday and weekday calls across Moravia Centerville and Gary Indiana areas includes Mrs Will Mofatt aiding Mrs Mil dred Clancy with sausage canning. Several families like Glasgow Fowler Ray Rumley Hiatt and Ray host or visit at various homes and attend the Fall Festival in Moravia.
The funeral for Mrs. L J Hishop occurred Monday at 1 30 p m at her daughter Mrs G N Brain’s home Unionville. Rev L D Eaton of Riceville and Rev BR C Rowe of the M E church led the service. Out of town relatives attended including Mr and Mrs Will Hicka Mr and Mrs Harry Pabst Mr and Mrs A G Brohar Mrs Emma Lovell Mrs Maud Coffin Mrs Kate Rogers Mr and Mrs Frank Swaim Moravia Mr and Mrs Robert McMullin Baavia Mr and Mrs Clarence Herteen Mrs Florence Wilson Ora Van Cleve Ottumwa Mrs Stella Kimball Moulton Mrs Lucy More Hugo Johnson Centerville Mr and Mrs Vern Irelan Drakesville and many others. Mrs Carolyn Turner and daughter Lois returned Sept 27 from a visit with her brother Leonard Lyon and wife and with her friend.
Members of Unionville high school from years past gathered at the school building on Sunday September 17 for a cooperative luncheon and to renew acquaintances. Supt. Houppman of Wyconda Missouri attended along with numerous local families. The event was planned as an annual affair with the next gathering set for the last Friday in September inviting any who taught or attended Unionville area schools.
R T Darby acted as caller at J J Ullem’s home midweek. Margaret Harrison and sons visited H D Darby’s home Sunday evening. G R Darby attended Moravia Fall Festival on Friday. Roy T Darby left Sunday for a week at the Worlds Fair in Chicago, escorted by the Darby twins and Russell Darby. He paused to chat with old friend Frank Neff while heading to Moravia Pridey. Zell Wilson family joined Moravia, with E C Caster family also there. J G Wilson of Woodburn and N G Wilson with wife and E F Wil complete the scene.
