Donald and Dorothea Derby attend the NRA meeting in Albia on Saturday. Roy Darby was in Centerville on Tuesday. Minmie Van Dorin and gong helped Willie stack soy beans Saturday. Ed Robinson and Russell Darby thresh clover east of Albia this week and will move to soy beans next. John Tucker and family visited J W Codagan home in Blakesburg, while John Campbell and wife of Moravia called on H D Darby.

The District Court of Appanoose County Iowa holds a final report and discharge application by Henry Dukes substitute assignee in the R W Winsler Produce Company matter. Hearing is set for September 23 1934 in Centerville with objections due beforehand. if unchallenged the report may be approved and the assignee discharged.
Henry Sytsma and daughter Katrena along with Harry Jennings visited Eph Wilson’s home on Wednesday evening. G E Luse and John Johnson couples attended the Oskaloosa fair on Wednesday. Mrs F W Wright spent Wednesday and Thursday in Center ville. John Johnson and wife hosted a formal analirenelia feast at their home on Thursday evening.
A long list of local residents and visitors share birthday meals and social calls. Families including the Luse, McDanes, Davis, Creech, Wilson, Mangle, Hayes, and others visit in Albia Centerville Martinsburg and Sigourney areas, with gatherings at homes and parties noted Friday to Monday.
Main Street reports a flurry of visits and social events across Centerville. Shoppers Nellie, Rissie, Mabel Gladfelder and Inez DeBoyle are listed among numerous Sunday School attendees, visitations at multiple homes, and birthday celebrations with gifts and refreshments.

Helen Hamilton spent Saturday night and Sunday with Enid Long. John Van Zante's were Albis callers Saturday afternoon. Cass Hamilton's were Sunday visitors at the M. B. Tisue home. Wanda Jones attended the party at Riley Callen's Friday night. Wilms Van Zante attended the party at Boylsh Bishops Friday night. Vern and Billy Long called at the Ben Williams home Sunday morning. Mr and Mrs Lloyd Brown and Dorothy and Mrs Cass Hamilton were Centerville callers Friday afternoon.

Ida Anderson of Chariton visits Boardman households while several locals host or visit friends and kin across Ottumwa Albia and area. Zebulon activities include teachers meeting in Albia, road work with Loren Thompson, and trips to Canada by Cary McCoy and V J Anderson.
Arthur Brown attended the teachers institute at Albia high school and several locals joined the Brown reunion at Main Grove. Mr and Mrs A F Woodcock drove to Newton to visit their daughter-in-law Mrs Earl Woodcock in the hospital after an appendix operation.
The Mother and Daughter Lanquet event drew a large crowd last Monday with men serving refreshments. The Ladies Aid met with Miss Helen Hickenlooper last Thursday. Alice Anderson and Opal Lueller were visitors to Mrs. Alfred Sutton, who hosted family this week. Mrs. Sutton’s sister, Mrs. Nicklette, is ill. Mrs. Saubel Anderson is caring for someone at home. Mrs. Lowenson of California visited Miss Jane Hilton on Thursday. Ted Beadle and his wife were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sutton on Wednesday, and Tom Smith’s couple attended the Ookaloosa fair. Evey Shaw returned from A Century of Progress last Wednesday. Lawrence Johnson and Emma Button visited Albin for Saturday shopping.
HIATTSVILLE Mr and Mrs W A Rose and daughter Dorothy spent Sunday with Lloyd Rose family acquainting with their new baby. Miss Lulu Burton left for Chicago to attend Century of Progress and visit Alvin Burton. Margaret Rubye Hiatt Josephine Scott and Juanita Hiatt visited Maxine Tucker who will be away at school. Mr and Mrs Kermit Rose of Denison IA visited W A Rose family. Max Martin helped Alfred Carlson with bean harvest. J T Hiatt Ellen Hiatt visited Moravia. Maxine Tucker left for Mt Pleasant to study at Wesleyan College next week. Loyd Carter family Virginia visited relatives at Dos Moines.

One day last week at the Henry Syts am home. Several from this vicinity were shopping in Albia Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Argo were calling in Centerville one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Watts attended a reunion of the Watts relatives in Ottumwa Sunday. Mrs. Florence Wilson is in Unionville, Town, called there by the seriousness of her mother.
