Face flies invade homes as they seek winter shelter
Face flies appear around September, entering homes through cracks and crevices on walls. They hibernate in walls and may emerge in fall and winter, threatening households. Sealing exterior cracks helps prevent entry, and outdoor spraying with a half percent dieldrin solution per thousand square feet also blocks other pests.
