In a special meeting September 1970 the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors approved the Valley View Housing Development plat and authorized signing rental agreements with Xerox for equipment. At 10:00 a.m. bids for a prestressed concrete beam bridge project L5-2-69 and permanent-type anti freeze were opened, with Tracy Construction Co. of Centerville bidding $27,728.90 and Cunningham-Reina Co. of Des Moines bidding $870.80.
