Hiattville reports a large turnout for Rally Day services at Wesley Chapel with a basket dinner and program. Notables present include Rev. C. J. Fix and Rev. B. G. Hawkins, plus multiple Hiatt, McDanel, and Luse families. Attendance reached 81 at Sunday School and a favorable mood prevailed.
Pleasant Hill reports include Dora Hellyer and son at the Tarbell home, Fenton family visits, Linyd Clark and Richland visitors staying with Elbert Moore, Mrs. Moore visiting with them, Mrs. Leo Beaty and Keys at J B Dicks, Cedar Rapids visitors with Mrs. Milo Chardwick, Antlie and Donald visiting Ottumwa friends, County Superintendent at Pleasant Hill school, Tolbert visiting E C Moore, Priebe children with Myre and Jim Moore, Mrs. D S Fenton and Vera Moore visiting Millie Chadwick, Johan McAninch at Tarbell’s, a fine rain Sunday morning.
Clyde Gladfelder and family Velma Whickes were entertained to supper at Tom Philby’s in honor of Chas Stockwell’s birthday. Willie McDanel spent Wednesday evening at Coy Luse’s.
ENON My and Mrs. W. T. Van Dorin with Mrs. Ida Henderson and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Pence visited Gy Tones home last Tuesday. The Helping Hand Club plans to assist with Mrs. Florence Robinson on Thursday. Mrs. A. C. Faber and daughter Lady shopped in Albin on Wednesday. The Ernest McKay home welcomed Lester Powell and son for a few days. Russell Gainse and John Selby hosted Sunday visitors. Archie Thompson and family were Sunday guests at the Thompson home. Etna Smith, Borla Giltwver and son Billy visited Cy Jones Friday evening. Loren Thompson attended Albin Sunday evening. Keith Roberts sawed wood for EF. M. Coltrain, Monday.

The community attended a fall festival in Russell Thursday and Centerville shoppers were noted Friday and Saturday as families visited relatives and shopped.
Hilton announces regular preaching next Sunday and a prayer meeting Wednesday evening followed by a Farm Bureau program. Families visit relatives across nearby towns include Smiths, Humphreys, Kingerys, and Glaspies. Annabel Clark teaches drama for a Minneapolis firm.
Mr and Mrs Pat Fisher of Albin spent Sunday at Ed Johnson, Wile Van Dorin and family shopped in Albin Saturday, E G Sincox and the Sincox and Darby families attended sales and church events. Lawrence Johnson visited Albia, Dorothea and Donald Darby attended Moravia church, and several locals including Mrs Cary McCoy and Harold Davis hosted guests.
A family dinner at Ray E Caltrain's home east of Moravia celebrated Ray's return from Krasas after five months' work. Attendees included R F Caltrain and others, with R F Caltrain's 70th birthday and Curtis Caltrain's 12th birthday noted. Afternoon photos and visits followed a abundant meal.
