Three Reasons Given For Present Low Corn Prices

G. H. Shepherd of Iowa State College cites three causes for low corn prices rising from a weak hog market, a large U S crop and rising visible supply in terminal elevators. November visible supply hits 27 million bushels, a record. Chicago receipts in Aug Oct exceed any similar three months in history, as held-over corn depresses prices. Farmers paused selling to await new crop, continuing the downtrend.
