Mrs. Max McDonough spent Mon day and Tue in Marshalltown for an Iowa Annual Advanced Symposium and returned Fri from Chicago after attending a Federated Garden Clubs national convention. She is state president of the Federated Garden Clubs of Iowa. Miss Michele Koffman is a pneumonia patient at Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Don Johnston and wife of Raytown Mo spent the weekend at the McDonough home. Zenith Hiatt celebrated her birthday with Rev. and Mrs. Hersey. The Faber families held a picnic at Centerville waterworks park in honor of Ruben’s birthday. Attendees included R S Faber and family, Genevie Kalvng, Bessie Donovan, Dallas Faber and Nadine, Bob Faber and Connie, Don Klamper and family. R S Faber joined Genevie Kaling and Bessie Donovan for dinner in Knoxville and visits with John Wood, Grace Dooley, and Paul Eggers at the Iris gardens. Guests at the Glasgow home in Centerville included Lewis Dommer, Gurney Jordan, and Gertrude Creech of Oskaloosa, with a Des Moines visit to John and Ester Stafford homes noted. Harold Mason and Mrs. A G Mason attended services in Albia for George E. Mason of Vinton.

Mrs Ernest Hiatt learned her brother Loyd Cline died Sunday. Martha Miller and Ted Wilsons visited Lewis Rouse Sunday. Ernest Hiatt's family spent Saturday with Ernest West and Sunday with Clarence Ballanger. Mrs Herb Boblenz attended the Mother Daughter banquet in Abia with her daughter Mrs Gary Belzer. Several neighbors shared meals and visits around town including Mintia Shoemaker, Frances Burton, Iva Smith, and Grace Anderson. Lena Mount of Illinois planned a brief visit with Grace Anderson at the W C Anderson home.
