By Salem Hazel Hellyer Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tisue and sons spent Tuesday evening at the Clarence Whitehead home. Several people from this community attended the chivari for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scott Tuesday. Miss Hazel Hellyer spent Monday evening with Mrs. Blanche Argo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jennings and Hagel Hellyer attended a shower for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scott at the Iconium Christian church Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Newton Long, Mr. and Mrs. Guy McKern spent Thursday at the Elbert Perry home. Sunday afternoon visitors at the Dell Hellyer home were Mr. and Mrs. George Hellyer and Karol, Mrs. Raymond Perry, Mr. and Mrs.
Blue Front school opened August 1954 and closed May 13 with a picnic dinner at the Mrs Ellen Platt farm west of Morava. Enrolled students included Maxine Johnson Larry Woodward Richard Woodward Charles VanZante Bobby Kehrberg Judy Woodward Mark Van Zante and Ronald Kehrberg. The year saw full textbook work plus extra reading. Activities included Moravia Fall Festival Pancake Day Cen terville a Christmas program Halloween and Valentine parties and an Easter party hosted by the teacher with homemade candy. Emory Kehrberg and spouse visited with a movie projector twice.
The report lists families and individuals who brought refreshments for year end birthday parties. Perfect attendance belonged to Charles and Mark VanZante while Charles and Judy topped spelling hundreds. Maxine authored the Good English box and Mark the Good Manner box. Samo and Rob erts tested eyes after a fall visit. Forty one visitors attended the year. Reporters were Judy Woodward Ronald Kehrberg and Mark Van Zante.
