The E. T. C. club held a party at Mr. and Mrs. Harry DuVall's home Thursday evening with co hosts Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Burton. Prizes in rock were won by Mrs. Frank Lathen and Roscoe Pennington. Guests enjoyed fruit salad cake and coffee.
Baptist Ladies Aid met with Mrs. Clara Wilson Thursday afternoon planning the annual Mother Daughter banquet set for Friday May 9 at the church basement. Sunday visitors included the Perry Cross family and Cedar Ottumwa Des Moines residents. Clyde Smith suffered a paralytic stroke. W S C 8 program themed Tributes to Mother. Folders summarizing fairing regulations in effect from March 15, 1952, to March 15, 1953 have been mailed to county recorders and state conservation officers.
