George Hiatt Dies At Oskaloosa Tuesday
George Hiatt Sr. 76, a retired farmer of University Park, died at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mahaska hospital in Oskaloosa. Born near Moravia to Enog and Elizabeth Hiatt, he married Grace Skinner in 1905 and spent most of his life in University Park. Survivors include his wife, two daughters Mrs. Glennie Mastin and Mrs. Dorothy Burmeister, three brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren, and a predeceased son J. E. Hiatt. Funeral held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Nazarene church with burial in University Park cemetery.
