Sunday and Saturday calls mark a weekend social round from Brompton to Albia with the Selby, Robinson, Boardman, Shaw, and Lillard families. Visits span Mae Miller, Vera Selman, Miss Alice Shaw, Wilma Boardman, O S Miller and relatives, plus farm assistance by Howard Robinson and others around Moravia Ottumwa and LeRoy events.
The Ryman McDanel and related families hosted gatherings from Monday to Sunday in Moravia with visits from Sufficools Quick and McDanel relations. Celebrations included the Gladfelder 50th wedding anniversary and birthday observances for Russell Main.

Evening callers Marion Mounts family. Wanda Jones visited home briefly. Ben Williams Williams and Raymond Williams families motored to Colfax Town to visit Dewey Wadsworth. My and Mia Dick Van Zante family from Pella Sunday at John Van Zante home Lavern stayed longer.

Carl Calhoun and son Delbert visited John Moffatt Wednesday morning. George Shehan and Mrs John Repp shopped in Albia Tuesday. Nellie Haines returned to Red Oak Monday after visiting relatives nearby. Sue Callen visiting relatives here. Joe McLaughlin and Nick Cotar visited John Moffatt Sunday. Sunday evening callers were Fred Ammons and children Wayne Loyd and Virginia and Lloyd Callen. John Moffatt and family called in Albia Saturday afternoon. Wea Scott and John Repp visited George Shehan Sunday. John and son John called in Albia Saturday afternoon. Herbert Dodge and children Veda Beulah and Harold spent Wednesday with Everett Stansberry. Ann McFatridge visited Vera Firk Friday afternoon. Lucius Swift and Dwight Runnells called at John Moffatt Wednesday forenoon. Wayne Ammons and daughter and Floyd Callen and son Harold visited Fred Ammons Sunday afternoon. Nell LaMar and daughters Coleen Betty and Clifford Boldt Daisy and Roy Moffatt called at Coy Swift Thursday afternoon.
Marthe Messman and Helen spent Tuesday afternoon at the Dennis Fenton home. Beulah Dicks called Tuesday on Verna McAninch, Mrs. Emma Jennison of Chariton, and Roy Elliott of Russell. Numerous Moore family folks, including Elbert Moore, Deliah Fenton, Opal and Arlene, joined visits through Wednesday to Friday with Fenton and Callen families. Frequent callers and weekend visits centered around the Elbert Moore residence and nearby families.
Mr. and Mrs Geo Shaw and son visited the R B Faber home on Wednesday. Mrs Clara Selby stayed with J T Van Dorin. Helping Hand Club met with J T Van Dorin. fifteen ladies and ten children attended. Refreshments included strawberry and chocolate pie and iced tea. Lee Gong and wife of Albin visited the Smith Giltner home and fished west of Iconium at A E Pences. J L Jones visited Albin. Clelia Jones spent the weekend with Ruth Turner near Iconium. Mr and Mrs John Selby and Mrs Mary Main with children spent Saturday at Milo Selby’s. Amos and Vergil Robinson of Moulton spent Sunday at Ike Winkleman’s. Amos’ first visit to his old home since illness last fall. All of Mr and Mrs A Q Van Dorin’s children and families called.

Mr and Mrs Van Lemaster were Sunday guests at Theo Miller's. The Callens and family visited Hartly Van Antwerp near Rathbun Sunday. Betty Coulson stayed at Forrest Meridle’s Thursday night. R Callen and daughters Minda Lily Sylvia Elsie and R E B Luse and Betty attended Ladies Aid at Pearl Hiatt’s Thursday.
Verna Jean Cline visited Werneil Coulson and family Sunday. Dorin Wales and Hila Ron spent Sunday with Roy Purvis and family. Harl Brattan entertained her sister and husband from Seymour this week. Mrs Lyman Main and others called at the Dave Hiner home Monday. Betty Jean Brown stayed Sunday night with Harry Lemaster.
