Friday brought a warm evening as Gary’s wedding ceremonies unfolded causing candles to glow by flashlight after a church fuse blew. Monroe County 4-H Rally honored Connie McAninch as an honorary member while town plans for a new water source and possible distribution system faced a cost gap between 1322 and 50000 dollars.

The Happy Helpers 4 H club met June 8 1959 at Mary and Nancy Mosley home. Roseann Calhoun led with 9 members present. Reports were given and a $5 graduation gift for Janice Mosley was approved. Plans include an ice cream social July 11 and an achievement show July 31 with next meeting July 13 at Francine Brozovich home. Demonstrations covered skirt band facings blouse cutting hem good posture and seams for different styles by members including Shirley Calhoun Sandra Whitehead Nancy Mosley Connie McAninch.
Refreshments were served to our leader Mrs. K. C. Potts plus a list of attendees including Roséatin Shirley Calhoun Doris Jéeaf Hawk Francine Brozevich Connté McAninch Mary Nancy Mosley and Sandra Linda White with Reporter Linda Whitehead present.
