Charles S Argo 65 of Iconium died May 28 1947 after a period of failing health. He was born April 22 1882 on a farm near Iconium and lived there most of his life with his wife Blanche Swift Argo. He worked a harness shop and later a mercantile. he was a devout Methodist who joined in 1910. He leaves his wife five half brothers one sister and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held May 1 at the Iconium Methodist Church with Rev Esther Bubb officiating and burial followed at Iconium Cemetery.

Reverend W E Burd will move to Keokuk in late August to assume the pastorate there after nearly three years at the Moravia Church of the Nazarene.
