Republicans meet in Des Moines May 22 with 26 delegates to Chicago. Democrats send 24. Precinct caucuses March 7 8 and county conventions March 14 24 set delegate flows. The week featured numerous social calls and dinners across Moulton Albia and Ottumwa. Guests included Mrs Bill Pardon and Mrs Albert Tublugh with several visits to the Lor en Walter and Gabe Johnson homes. The Bud McDanel and Rex Beech families joined Sunday dinners with Lyndon McDanel and others in attendance.
Mrs. Ella Brooks returned home from St Joseph hospital. Visitors include Mr. and Mrs Bert King of Sioux City and others from Centerville Ottumwa Moulton and Udell. The Woman's Missionary group met at Minnie Replogle home with topics poems and Bible study. offering was $8.46.
Maple Grove residents share weekend hospitality with Mrs. Ralph Tucker hosting and Loren Walter hosting guests. Mr. and Mrs. Winston DuValis and Helen joined Sunday dinner at the Loren Walter home. Saturday night supper guests included Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hainline at Al bla. Lyndon McDanel and family attended Thursday supper at Bud McDanel's, while Loren Walter and family dined Thursday at John Wilson Jr. home. Bud McDanel accompanied Mrs. Art Fox to Des Moines on Friday. Mrs. Jennie Ramon returned home to Centerville after a few days with Bud McDanel. Loren Walter and family visited others.
Mrs Lula Tillmont teaches twelve pupils as Mary Lou Donnie and Date Ballenger transfer to North Bend. Eighth grade Joann Moore and Charlotte Mackhinch make perfect spelling. Janice Vickroy 5th grade. Charles Meanine Bennie Tarbell and Argo 3rd. Larry Stephen Tarbell and Freddie Tarbell 2nd. Civics begun. third grade social science. valentines sent to Betty Lou Taylor. Hot lunches praised. mothers provide dishes. Gerald Vickrey visited Feb 13. J W McAninch called next day. Argo and Tarbell noted as false visitors. Raised 7.80 for March of Dimes. Bennie Tarbell top fundraiser. Library chair, clay, flash cards purchased. Tillmont sends new Symbol game.
Qualified electors of the Judl ent School District of Meravia Apbandése County Town are notified that the regular election will be at the Community Building on March 10 1952 from noon to 7 pm. A director for three years will replace George Firkins whose term expires March 17 1952. A treasurer for two years will replace Rowena Metatridize. Secretary Chester Broshar dated February 10 1982.
