The Moravia Union invites news and photo tips for its next issue and promises prompt coverage of local events. The winter concert drew a large crowd with the junior band, baton twirlers, and girls glee club, plus a humorous spoof titled Dragnet.
Enon notes a 45th wedding anniversary for J T VanDorin with guests Rev Warren McFate Rev King Mrs King Deborah and Mr Mrs J T VanDorin. Other items mention visits, aid dinner and meeting, W S C S, and illnesses with teacher Mrs Vina Paylor.
The American Way notes a home visit by Mrs Carolyn Slingworth and daughter plus Leo VanDorin and Ottumwa kin with J T VanDorin. Social visits include George Simmons with Karen at Mearl Walter home and Burdell Roberts birthday gathering at Guy Roberts home. Local church services were held despite bad weather.
New Hope W S C 8 plans a March 3 meeting with Mrs. Juanita Dooley. Brushy Ladies Ald met with Mrs Dwala Swan on February 15 a cooperative dinner was served at noon. Knotting two quilts was the day’s work. Afternoon devotional included group singing two hymns and reciting the Lord’s Prayer. Scripture Acts 16 19 23. Prizes went to Verge Martin and Laura Martin. Valentine exchange and two new members welcomed Mrs Clara Atwell and Mrs Kathryn Martin.
Attendance at Sunday School and Church at Centerville with multiple family visits and social calls listed.
