Union Neighbors Meet With Mrs Verner Howk
Mrs Verner Howk hosted the Union Neighbors on Wednesday December 14 with 12 members and seven children present. Roll call asked about Christmas plans. business meeting occurred in Mrs Barnes absence. The group voted three dollars to the retarded children's fund. Christmas carols, a ten cent gift exchange, and mystery pals followed. Refreshments of cookies and coffee were served. Busy Maidens Meet at Hilton Church
The Busy Maidens held their December meeting Monday evening after a cooperative supper with the Hilton Hustlers 4-H club and their parents on December 12. Vice president Becky Whitlock called the meeting to order. Two were absent. Donna Woodward gave a demonstration on Making a Hem. Afterward a gift exchange was enjoyed with the boys 4-H club.

On November 7 1955 Earl Exline Walter Harper and Glen Johnson of the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors contracted Ted Clark Appliance and Heating to install a Bryant Warm Air Gas Heating Plant with at least 100000 BTU and automatic humidifier.
