Strickler cites funding gaps for Rathbun lake road work
Ramiblin’s Board of Supervisors Member Kermit Strickler says there isn’t enough money for road construction in the county. He notes normal property road levies will barely cover repairs and that engineers and the board have applied to the Department of Transportation for federal funds for about six permanent rural road projects near Rathbun Lake. Strickler mentions potential funds from Whi sé and links the need to increased lake area visitation and land taken from tax rolls by the Corps of Engineers.

Early bluegrass conference tourney prompts questions
The article notes confusion over why the Bluegrass Conference basketball tournament is held early each season.
