Robbery at Turner & Son and High School Building
Thieves broke into the Turner & Son store, prying rear doors and using a hammer and crowbar to open the safe. They took money but no merchandise, leaving keepsakes and pennies behind, as Sheriff Robertson and the State Scene of Criminal Investigation sought fingerprints. A separate break-in at the high school saw entry through a broken window in the science lab, with a socket wrench and racket set valued at about 140 dollars stolen from the west wing to the shop addition.
