The Moravia water system has been moving about 30,000 gallons per day recently with 150 meter flow and 200 gallons per tap. Rainfall has been irregular, with only three tenths of an inch reported at some locations last week.

Numerous relatives and friends visited the Wilson household during the week, including Greg and Candy Martin of Gardena California and Katherine Wurzbacker of Mooreland Minnesota. Loyd Carter hosted Sunday dinner with Lee Hiatt. Harold Cullers from West Salem Indiana visited over Sunday and Monday.
Jim Herron was among Sunday supper guests at the Carter home, joining a local gathering. The event featured neighbors and friends sharing a informal evening at the residence.
Taylor Aid held a regular meeting on August 6 with Lucile Carter presiding in the chairman’s absence. Attendees included Deloris Ballinger, Stella Bogart, Loyd and Mrs Carter, Gladys Harsh, Theo and Mrs Miller, Don and Mrs Pettibone, Winifred Schrodt, Maria Long, and Jackie Pettibone.
Relatives gathered Sunday August 8 at the home of Mr and Mrs Cart Derby Sr in Albia. The event honored Roy Derby and Joseph Klima from Wyoming with several Derby family members from Albia and out of town relatives including Laura Martin Basil Martin Cat Martin Frank Eaton Emmett Derby from Ottumwa.
