A lively junior class play drew an 1890 crowd on Tuesday night though more attendance was hoped. The cast included Ronnie Woodward as Atomic Blonde and was well directed by Clarence Sheldon. The writing hints at April and October moods with farming imagery and harvest notes for the 61 crop year.

Frances Belle Coulson of Montrose Colorado died April 12 1962 at age 63 after a long life in Iowa and Colorado. She leaves husband Webb Zahniser six children five living and 12 grandchildren with two sisters and a brother. Funeral services were held April 15 at Montrose Chapel of the Roses.
The April S C A meeting was held in the elementary building Monday evening. Mr. Holtz led a Spanish lesson with students. Mrs. Selix and girls from home economics classes and the F H A presented a style show. Refreshments were served in the hot lunch rooms.
The Women's Society of Christian Service met at Grace Methodist Church on Wednesday at 1 15 p m with Mrs Ralph McDonough Mrs Lee Hiatt and Mrs Clarence Johnson hosting. Mrs John Guthrey reviewed a study book chapter as Mrs D E Bishop gave meditations and Mrs Lester Brain presented the lesson with participants including Mrs John Veach and Mrs Loyd Carter.
Rainbow Girls of Moravia hosted a friendship meeting with officers from Cartiville Bloomfield Pulaski and Moravia, initiating four new girls Amy Hopkins Connie Marie Edith Elaine Mullin. Attendants included Mrs Glen Hawk Grand Deputy District 13 and Miss Nancy Tomlin Grand Representative to Rhode Island. A social hour followed with cookies punch and coffee for about 70 guests.
Tarbell Frank Leslie Tarbell died in Denver Colorado April 16 1962 at 75. He is survived by wife Mildred Lowrey Tarbell daughter Theda Stevens and two grandchildren Lorraine and Alan Stevens. One sister VanHey Tarbell of Piano Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Turner funeral home Friday April 20 at 2 PM with Rev Weldon Whitenack officiating. Burial in Milledgeville cemetery west of Iconium.
A Centerville Easter gathering celebrated Mr. C W Benz turning eighty one with a noon turkey dinner. Attendees included relatives from Rockford Misn Ill Adair Marion Centerville Moravia Des Moines Numa and others.
