A Saturday school gathering featured a noon basket dinner and a 9 program. Neighbors and friends attended in large numbers. Numerous locals, including Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Faber and families, were seen visiting and attending events around the community throughout the day and evening.

Ernest Mangles of Albia spent Sunday with Mr and Meg. Numerous locals including Madonna Foster Wanda Kaster and Cheree Dyphon group visits. Families from Ananda Nelville Sigourney Rol lie Carter and Unionville appear among visits. Reed names track broad list of relatives and friends visiting Elliott and Davis households across several towns.
Hiattville week end visits include Mr and Mrs A S Hiatt John and Margy Hiatt and relatives sharing time at Centerville Blakesburg Moravia and Unionville. Spelling contest honors Florence Tinsley Miss Mildred Chambers completes school terms and a party hosted by Margaret Burton with teacher Edna Callen and pupils.
Mr and Mrs Zell Wilson and Le Roy spent Sunday evening at the Allen Rails back home. G Siivex and family spent Sunday at the Grant Sinvox parental home. Charley Jones was an afternoon caller. Marshall Darby and family visited the Zell Wilson home. Mrs Skoacoe Darby called at the Henry Systing home Friday. Willie VanDuritt and family spent Sunday at the Andee son home in Albia.
Announcement of candidacy for Democratic nomination for State Senator from the Appanoose-Davis District subject to primary voters on June 6, 1932. Also notes Roscoe G. Wales as Democratic candidate for Sheriff of Appanoose County with primary in June.
A flood of declarations from local Republicans announces candidacies for the Appanoose County boards, treasurer, recorder, clerk of the court, and state senate. Names include G L Bovard, W B Haught, C L Dick Bruckshaw, Moravia Union, Purley Rinker, Jesse A Hoover, and James Douglas among others. Local social notes mention visits by G. Caster and family to the Delph Pete hone, and Andy Madison of Waukee at E. G. Lineux home.
A string of Sunday and weekend visits tied a tight knit community together. Ed Rumsey and family called on Victor Goode near Blakesburg while Cal vin Rumley plowed for Will Moffatt. The Denny school hosted a February program with Ralph Hiatt on violin and a guitar duet by Hubert Benge and sister.
Mrs G Taylor and her three children avoided a broken home after suffering long with catarrh stomach kidney and headaches. A druggist recommended Worlds Tonic, giving relief in stages until she felt almost well. Her husband improved his business and the family stayed together praising the remedy sold at Smith and other drug stores.
Maurice Lillard and Ed Robinson visited Ottumwa as business callers recently. Maurice Boardman and son Clifton traveled to Albia, and Mark Cappe with Kenneth and Otia Stafford visited Sunday. Several Moravia high school students attended the Brompton school event Friday evening. Families including the Brmp ton group and local boards were seen visiting Moravia and Albia over the weekend.
In the District Court of laws Appanoose county the administrator of the estate of I M Dodd deceased has filed a final report and asks for its approval and discharge from duty. The hearing is set for May 2 1982 at the Courthouse Centerville Iowa by special order of court attendees may appear and show cause why final report should not be approved and discharge granted. Mt Pleasant residents including Mr and Mrs Albert Woodcock and Mr and Mrs E C Delong spent time in Albia and Centerville with various calls to neighbors. The week featured visits to W A Brown H C Bosco J E Callen and other local households. Elizabeth Sneed visited Centerville Saturday.
