A native of Anamosa, he and his wife Barbara have one daughter, and he holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa. He is active in the Methodist church, Lions club past president, and a Masonic lodge member.

Building permit issued for Keith Lubbock for a home greenhouse at 430 S Chestnut with cost 1500 dollars.
The ninth annual Monticello antique show runs Friday through Sunday September 10 to 12 at the Youth Center. Sunday features an antique auto show with 42 trophies from Apco stations and a 15 foot balloon ascension piloted by Tom Orman of Muscatine. Bob Loomis of Monticello says 30 dealers from seven states will display about $200000 worth of antiques for sale.
The Rev. William H. Kronen of Alberta has accepted the call to serve St. John's Lutheran church as pastor in rural Monticello. Installation is set for 2 30 p.m. Sunday Sept 12 with ministers Steinkamp Nicholson and Anderson taking part. Kronen succeeds the retiring Rev. C C Gutekunst who served 12 years. A reception follows. Police report an improper passing collision at S Main and Pinehaven Dr involving Jerome Siebel 36 Appleton Wis driving a 1969 Cadillac and Karen Kay Fluckiger 20 Monticello in a 1965 Pontiac with estimated damages of 500 and 400 dollars respectively. Kronen born Nov 14 1937 in Brooklyn N Y served in the 101st Airborne and studied at Concordia Seminary 1959 1965. He has been serving Immanuel Rocky Mountain House Alberta and Christ Craig Markerville in Alberta. Kronen married Patricia Peters Aug 27 1960 and they have five children. Midwest Textile Outlets announces a third Monticello factory outlet store at 103 E Second St offering fabrics and knits managed by Nancy Snitker. Store aims for grand opening after inventory arrives. other outlets are in Osage and Mabel Minn.
