Sabbath school and preaching times listed for Methodist Episcopal Presbyterian United Brethren churches. S. J. Holmes A. B. Simpson J. D. Unay B. F. Hoover W. E. Dye serve as pastors with services set at 9:30 a.m. 10:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on various days and occasional Thursday prayer meetings.
Catholic Mass will be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Time to be announced. Father A. H. Busald will preside attendance expected.
The bulletin notes 9 30 a m Bible School with preaching at 9 30 a m every first Sunday of each month led by Pastor R R Ohaver.
The Joslin twins won a voting contest at the Electric theater with 5380 votes. Floyd Hunt, Wilma Pawley, Opal Downin, and Marion Mathas followed, as votes narrowed to the top five and a lively crowd cheered the twins at the announcement.
About thirty youths attended a hard time social in the north parlor of the M. E. church with Dee Pressler winning a prize for the best outfit. Candy apples and crackerjack were shared after games, marking the first in a series of Epworth League socials this winter. The C. H. & D. bridge crew finished the concrete pier by removing falsework and placing cap stones after completing work by Sheesley & Janny Construction Co.
Arnold Miles twelve to seventeen years old died after a rifle discharged while he stood on a trough during a rabbit hunting excursion north of town. The accident occurred Sunday, he died that evening, and his funeral was held at his grandmother's home before burial in Waveland.

Mr and Mrs Thomas A Welshans who left Montezuma Saturday to settle in the far west were honored at a Montezuma Club reception Thursday evening in the Club rooms of the First National Bank building. Invitations were limited to Club members and many attended. A two course luncheon was served and guests departed late after an enjoyable evening.
