Methodist Episcopal schedule shows Sabbath School at 9 39 a m with S J Holmes and preaching at 10 45 a m and 7 30 p m on alternate weeks plus Thursday prayer meeting led by A B Smpson. Presbyterian plan lists Sabbath School at 9 30 a m and 7 00 p m preaching every other week with Pastor J D Ulay.
United Brethren church hosts Sabbath School at 9 30 a m conducted by B F Hoover. Evening Christian Endeavor at 7 30 p m. Sermon at 3 00 p m every other Sabbath led by Pastor W E Dyes.
Catholic Mass will be held on the second and fourth Sundays each month. Time to be announced. Father A. H. Busald serves as pastor.
The notice lists a Bible School at 9 30 a m and two sermons at 10 45 a m and 7 00 p m with preaching each Sunday first of the month led by Pastor R R Ohaver.
At the J Edward Oldshue residence three miles west of Waveland the couple Grace Ferrol Oldshue and Joseph Edward Hancock married in a ceremony attended by seventy five guests. Violinist Martha Ann Cargill and pianist Bertha Hedrick provided music as Grace descended to the Rev Frank B Solin who officiated.
The Crawfordsville Journal notes the wedding of Miss Hancock to John L Oldshue with breakfast in the dining room served by Misses Myers Milligan Strong Spencer and McClain. Out of town guests include Miss Cargill Springfield Ohio Miss Appre vate Beverly Ohio and many from Montezuma Lebanon and Terre Haute. Mrs Hancock is a Stanford graduate and former Montezuma high school teacher.
A review details a two part performance with 20 carat gold ornaments on the captain, Beau Brummel inspired dress by a Brummel descendant, and art from the Michael Angelo studio in Rome. Guns from Krupp Works in Essen supply the insurrecto army as scenery and marching drills display precise maneuvers. Proceeds from a second performance aid the Christmas Cheer Fund, with last seats available for a lecture course.
The Corner Drug Store showcases a corn field scene with shock fodder pumpkins and corn to highlight a corn cure. The display evokes autumn and James Whitcomb Riley’s poem While featuring John Gilmore artifacts including an early blunderbuss and a javelin.
Agnes and Helen McGinty hosted a Five Hundred gathering on Saturday afternoon. Mrs J Howard Han cock won first prize a half dozen sherbert cups and Mrs R W Sutton the second a deck of cards. A three course luncheon was served.

After a telegram orders Marines to Mexico the crew sails but a Kansas windstorm wrecks the ship on Haiti shores. The crew is found in camp as the second part opens and a series of songs and specialties follow, including El Capitan and military drill numbers.
