Vice President Sherman died Wednesday night at 9 42 o clock after a lingering illness of uraemic poison. All members of the immediate family witnessed the final scene. His death removes one of America's most beloved statesmen, noted for ability and a sunny disposition. The death casts gloom over the nation on the eve of election.
Last Friday Louis Toney a young Macedonian Clay worker at the Dee plant fell into a dry pan at the sewer plant and was crushed to pieces. Co workers discovered him after the mishap, his chest and lower body reduced to pulp in the fatal accident.
