A Lincoln era street incident reports a New York lass fined twenty five dollars for a fashionable slit up dress. Police arrested her on sight and the magistrate condemned her attire as shameful.
Changes set for August 15 raise parcel post zone coverage and rates. Local zone remains 5 cents for the first pound plus 1 cent per two pounds, while the extended zone allows up to 20 pounds at 5 cents plus 1 cent per extra pound within about 150 miles, enabling 24 cent shipments nationwide. Officials expect 13 million parcels in six months to double in the next six.

Clyde Harris age 22 of Indianapolis committed suicide Monday by drinking carbolic acid. He will be remembered for marrying Miss Marie Gillman, daughter of Mrs Versatila Sherrow, who lived in the south end of town a little over a year ago. His wife was sixteen and family trouble is given as the cause. He was employed by the P. and E with headquarters at Indianapolis.

Kenneth Waggoner born August 13 1893 at Lodi died July 26 1913 near Rockville after a two year illness. Son of Samuel and Mrs Waggoner he was one of ten children and had a funeral at the M E Church with interment at Oakland cemetery.

Thomas Cook, a Burns & Hancock employee, dislocated the internal end of his collar bone during coal unloading at the brick plant on Wednesday evening. Dr. Newhouse calls it an extraordinary case and the first of its kind he has seen. Recovery is expected to take three weeks to a month before he can return to work.
