Two West Monroe youths die in highway scooter crash
A 13 year old, Billie Doyal Mallard, was killed and 12 year old Ellender Lee Bishop was critically injured when a Central Transport gasoline truck struck their motorscooter on US Highway 80 near Delhi. Four Victims Found Shot At Oak Knoll Home
In Fort Worth Texas four family members were found shot to death at their Oak Knoll residence. Victims include Mrs Richard G Finch about 33 Penelope Finch 8 Allan Finch 7 and the children's maternal grandmother identified as Mrs Walker. The bodies were discovered by neighbor Mrs T C Hakill who had last seen the family Saturday. The grandmother died from a shot through the mouth with a .22 revolver nearby. The two younger children and their mother were in a bed in a center front room. Investigators believe the deaths occurred Saturday. The husband and father a pilot with American Airlines had been away from home for days and was reported in Ann Arbor Michigan. He had served as a colonel in the Air Force during the war.
