King Frederick VIII of Denmark died in Hamburg last night after a sudden apoplexy while traveling incognito. He arrived Monday and was seized with a fatal attack during a street stroll. Christian X ascends the throne and the title will be conferred at 3 PM. The king did not know of his father's death until this morning.
Reports from the bedside of Hipp P. Marks say there are no complications and doctors expect a rapid recovery after he was wounded Saturday evening by ex Policeman Thomas.
In Minneapolis on May 15 the Episcopal Committee of the Methodist Church urged retirement for Bishops Warren and Moore. It refused to press Bishop Neeley of New Orleans and called for secret ballots on retirement for all three bishops.
Mr. W. A. Kirkpatrick has purchased a half interest in a mercantile firm in Vivian Louisiana and departed yesterday to assume charge. His family will move to their new home on June first.

Perkins on the Santa Fe line Elizabeth to Oakdale Kirbyville Texas division. Muth is a leading official of the Industrial Lumber Company.
Former St. Louis Browns standout and champion batter George Stone is released by the Milwaukee Club and moves to Terre Haute. Stone gained fame as a top hitter in the major leagues years ago.
