Coco says he will prosecute all over production cases.
Ten week old Corinne Modell, abducted from her couch, was recovered in the house of Mrs. Mary De Marco a mile from the Modell home. De Marco and her husband were arrested after a neighbor tip led police to the scene. The infant was reported in good condition and returned to Harry and Mrs. Modell.
The Methodist Episcopal Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church South ratified unification by 842 to 13 at Springfield Mass. The plan creates one church with two jurisdictions under a single constitution, a general conference, and jurisdictional conferences. A judicial council and two-college bishop system are outlined. Bishop McDowell hailed the move as a signal triumph.

In Amite Louisiana a blackhand letter warned Mrs. Dallas Calmes to plead for clemency for six condemned men or face execution threats. The missive, signed by Frenchmen and an “unknown ten,” urged attendance before the pardon board and Governor Parker, threatening violence if demands were not met. The widow stated she has not sought prosecution or publicity and will let the law run its course.
Seventy five American colonists from Oklahoma Texas and Arkansas sail today on the steamship Aban garez to Bolivia to engage in stock raising. Col W M H Murry leads the party under a Bolivian grant of 175000 acres at Yacuibé near the border destined for settlement and farming opportunities.
President Coolidge told congressional leaders he opposes July 1 as the effective date for the Japanese exclusion provision and favors March 1, 1926 instead. He moved to build support to oppose the conference report and hopes Congress will delay the date by a few months to allow Japan diplomacy.
