Aged Photographer John Green Davis Dies in Ruston
John Green Davis, a photographer for more than 60 years, died at his Ruston home aged 86. Born near Farmerville in 1854, he began taking pictures in 1878 and moved to Ruston about 20 years later. Surviving are his widow, two daughters Mae Davis Moore of Denton Texas and PD Calhoun of Ruston, and two sons Leon of Oklahoma and John Jr. of Ruston. Funeral Friday at 3 pm in Ruston with Greenwood Cemetery burial.
