West Monroe Kiwanis hears pianist speaker on St Patrick
Northeast Junior college entertainer and speaker Tom Eubank entertained the West Monroe Kiwanis at Thursday noon with piano selections themed on St Patrick. He sketched Erin's patron saint whose birthday is March 17 and discussed an unusual career path toward becoming an Episcopal rector. Dean C C Calvert inducted Tom Eubank into the club as meetings move between First Baptist and First Methodist church venues this month and April 1.

John W. Duncan died from a heart attack. Survived by his wife Mrs Dusen, two sisters Mrs Alex New Orleans and Mrs Ven, and Kenneth Jeffrey of Los Angeles. He was a former youth near N engaged in oil leasing in Arkongax and ran a local business before the accident. Funeral services were held at 4 in Fertas with Rev Siward Fo Hayward officiating. Burial followed in Memphis.

Local Boy Wins Fifth District Speech Contest
