City Hogs Ban Enforced July First Monroe Ordinance
City of Monroe to strictly enforce Ordinance 2073 banning hogs within city limits starting July 1 1919. Violators face fines from five to twenty five dollars and must perform public-work labor at one dollar per day. Sanitary Fees Due July 15 Under City Ordinance
Beginning July 1 1919 all Sanitary Fees must be paid at the Board of Health Office City Hall by the 15th of each quarter. Ordinance No 2052 makes prepayment mandatory and nonpayment is a misdemeanor with fines or imprisonment. Pay before July 15 to avoid penalties.
