Howard Griffin Celebrates Fortieth Anniversary
Howard Griffin and his wife Birdie celebrate the 40th anniversary of Howard Griffin, Inc. as remodeling nears completion. From a 1931 South Grand shop with a $250 start, the firm now shows 125000 square feet, 85 staff, and a $6 million 1971 sales outlook. Griffin credits hard work and customer focus while expanding into toys and other lines.
