Postpone Fall Season Shows Indefinitely in Broadway
NEW YORK AP Broadway producers delay all fall productions as 43 shows face about eight million dollars in investment. The League of New York Theaters cites a contract deadlock with Actors Equity to explain the blackout closing 22 Broadway shows since last Thursday. Three shows backed by the producers may not reopen: Finian's Rainbow Andersonville Trial Duel of Angels. Burton A. Zorn disputes the union’s claim on affordability of wage and pension demands.
