Barnes Reported Improved After Serious Injury
John J. Barnes an assistant professor of psychology at Northeast Louisiana State College is in good condition at Oschner's Foundation Hospital New Orleans after a car crash one mile north of Kinner Monday noon. His mother Mrs Ag nes Barnes of Baton Rouge and a Northeast student John Houser from New Orleans were also injured. Mrs Barnes is in critical condition with multiple injuries and Houser is reported to be in a coma with a possible broken spine. Barnes sustained less serious injuries and is hospitalized. The crash occurred when an oncoming car slowed to turn, another car struck it and forced it into Barnes' vehicle.
