House Likely To Act On Bond Proposal Today
Baton Rouge AP reports the House is moving on Gov. Jimmie Davis 60 million dollar bond proposal and related administration bills. Other measures include raising hunting licenses, a deer turkey license, and changes to fishing license exemptions. A motorboat numbering plan costs five dollars for three years, with a federal law taking effect July 1 if Louisiana delays. The House sent to the Senate four constitutional board abolition bills and approved advisory boards under Davis control. Salary increases for sheriffs and assessors pass or advance, but St Helena Sheriff Bridges misses a raise.
